Welcome to Ngakuta Bay, a nice quiet safe Bay in the Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand
Ngakuta Bay is 20 minutes drive along the Queen Charlotte Drive road west from Picton.
Picton is the Seaport village at the top of the South Island of New Zealand which is linked to the North Island via a series of ferry services to Wellington, the capital of NZ.
If you drive west from Ngakuta Bay you will pass Linkwater with its pub, garage and general store.
Next is Havelock with the amazing Pelorus Lodge ( 5 star ) which has wonderful sea views, top service and privacy in a 30 acre bush setting.
The rest of Havelock is best avoided unless you need fuel for the car...
Next west is Nelson, a city by the sea with many artists, sea views and great shops.
